All electrical installations deteriorate with age and use. They should therefore be inspected and tested at regular intervals to confirm they are in a satisfactory condition for continued use. Commonly referred to as EICR's, an Electrical Installation Condition Report will be issued after any periodic inspection and testing. It is recommended that your electrical installation is inspected and tested:

• Every 10 years for an owner-occupied home

• Every 5 years for a rented home

• Every 3 years for a caravan

• Every 1 year for a swimming pool

• When a property is being prepared for letting

• Before selling a property or buying a previously-occupied property
